Thomas Boerum has joined The Center for Wealth Planning team. Tom has served the Long Island community as a Financial Advisor for more than 20 years, and focuses on personalized wealth management for individuals, people in the educational workforce, and small businesses. He began his Investment Planning Career with Dean Witter in 1996 after participating in a summer internship program with them prior to his senior year of college. His passion to help people fulfill their financial dreams was founded with his desire to follow in his mother’s footsteps, whom he admired as a Financial Advisor while growing up. After a short stint with Dean Witter Tom joined forces with his Mom and Dad, Karol and Fred at Cardone, Gordon & Associates which is now known as CGAA, Inc. He is excited to bring his experience to The Center for Wealth Planning and be part of a team that shares his philosophy on how to help individuals and families prepare for their financial future.
Tom takes a very personalized approach to investment planning with a clear understanding that no two investors are the same. He takes the necessary time to become intimate with each situation to provide individualized and personalized advice. Working with The Center for Wealth Planning and GWN Securities as an Independent Financial Advisor, Tom is not beholden to any one investment, insurance company or strategy. This platform allows him the upmost of flexibility to offer solutions specific to the individual needs of his clients.
Tom received his Bachelors in Business Management from SUNY Plattsburgh and his MBA from Dowling University. He serves as a Board Member for local nonprofit organizations such as the EAC Network and ALS Ride for Life. He lives on Long Island with his wife Penelope and son Maxwell.
